Hey it's Shanee´ Moret if you want to learn more about growing your personal brand, join the next free masterclass at www.yougrow.club, let's get to the podcast. It's amazing just like this simple things that sometimes we we can take for granted just because we're focused on other stuff. But I remember the other day, I don't know what happened, it was something so little. And then I like went to tick tock or something. And I saw a video of a woman who like, had just lost her three children and like in an accident, and you know, seeing things like that, or seeing people that are suffering from, you know, a chronic illness or, or dying from something like stage four cancer, it really brings things into into perspective sometimes. And I think that being grateful for just being alive, being grateful for having the right people in your corner being grateful for even the negative things or so called negative things that you may have perceived as negative that you learn from. And being grateful to have the opportunity to even be on a platform like this and be able to communicate with other leaders and learn from them collectively, I think is something that, you know, says a lot. Here here, I think, you know, I think the key is remembering gratitude, not just when you see something too, and it's so easy to do when we're so busy, not to remember not to practice gratitude all the time, you know, and it's you know, I like you look at things and go, Oh my gosh, you know, I'm blinded by how lucky I am. But that can change in a moment. And so I think the key for me is practicing every single day in every single moment. And always kind of stepping into spaces with a spirit of gratitude. Because it's so easy when you get when we're all busy. And the world is spinning to only pay attention when we see things that we wish weren't our circumstances, our hope not to ever be our circumstance. And so I hear you, but but I think that my message is practice gratitude and every moment that you possibly can. Yeah, that's so true and and into who you possibly can. I think that sometimes we you're you're, you know, so focused on goals or whatever, that we don't show gratitude or show appreciation to people the way that we should, even in the simplest things like saying, Hey, Andy, I'm grateful for you being on the stage. And I'm grateful for this conversation because we needed to catch up, right? And just like affirming that, rather than assuming that that other person can feel that or know that telepathically. Well, I'm grateful that you brought me up. And I'm grateful for everybody that's in the room. I'm grateful for the stage. I'm grateful for the platform. So thank you for having me. Of course and stay up if you if you want to. Hey, Shawn, what's up? What's up? Hello? Hello, guys. Hello, ladies. Hey, do you want to add something? Just I want to ask about something. I'm starting a new project for my own my own business. And first thing I'm sorry for your loss. And I want to mention my English not very well. So these b It's okay with me. Okay, so I want to ask, I'm starting a new project that's targeting the graphic designers and motion artists, something like that, but especially for RPM RPM Ward symbol out to be a resource for this graphic designer or this motion designer he needs some resource. As we know there is many websites provide project like this as a free back as Shutterstock. But they are not providing Arabic resource that the graphic designer Arabiya, and graphic designer or developer or anything who needed. So I need I need your help helping me I need you to help me to guide me what is the best strategy for my plant? And how we can start perfectly with it? Yeah, can you can you do me a favor and message me if you haven't already, just because you know the I'll be having a q&a session tomorrow at one. But this really isn't a q&a session. It's more just sharing what you're grateful for. And you know how you practice gratitude. But I'd be happy to answer you and connect you with someone or you know, share a resource or you can come to the q&a session tomorrow at one New York time. Okay, thank you. All right, you right now uncontacted? All right. Thank you, Shawn. I appreciate you, Henry. What's up? Hey, Henry. Hello. Hey, we can I can't really hear you. Greetings to everyone, ladies and gentlemen. I have a question concerning is gratitude we having some few challenges by what I do is with the least opportunity I get I try as hard as I can to show gratitude they lead to a I can do most of my distance relatives are no, but in lucassi Do they don't seem to be that much. So I try to say that text messages get to know, the moment they see me it's like within a short term, and then it is not enough for them. So train this question up for ideas to pop up probably to aid me no more or have new ideas on how to make it better. Okay, so you're a little bit low to here. But just to clarify, you show gratitude through texts and, and stuff like that to your friends and family. But they want more or they feel like maybe it's not enough. And you want to know how you can show them more appreciation or gratitude. Is that your question? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Charles, do you want to chime in here? Hey. So I think one of the most important things with gratitude is you can't have expectations if you're doing something for someone else. So for gratitude for me, like 2020, I was like, really sick. I mean, really, really sick. And so I woke up in the morning, and I just started thinking, isn't there something about when you're sick, and you're just clench as you're kind of load to? And we're gonna Henry go? I don't know. Can you hear me? Can you not hear me? I can hear you, but you're just a little low. Okay, um, I got my headphones, I'm speaking up, maybe there's something wrong with the thing. But there's something about gratitude and going through challenges. That helps you appreciate the small things. When I was really sick and 2020, I would just wake up and think I have water, I have clean water, I got plumbing, I have a house, I have a place I live, I have food. in it. I can literally feel the chemicals in my brain change, when I would think about all these things that I had. And it just changed my perspective. And so it's something I do each and every day. It it's the foundation for having joy and happiness. When we focus on the things that we have as opposed to the things we don't have you Yeah, that's so key. And which has just said there is the power behind gratitude. Because if you don't focus on what you have, well, we have a tendency to always focus on what we don't have, right? Oh, you know, we don't have a million clients, but you have 100 or 1000, or or 10, or even one, right? Oh, we don't have a $10 million mansion on the beach, but you have a roof over your head clean water, you know, family that loves you or whatever. And you have the consciousness, like the self awareness of what you have, which is another gift. But to answer back to Henry's question, I think Henry sometimes we think that the way that someone receives or wants to be shown gratitude or appreciation is the same way that we would like to receive gratitude and appreciation and I think it's kind of like the love languages here but like with family, and I'm pretty sure that the same thing would apply just obviously not romantic. But you know, you may be sending texts and gifts or whatever but the person that you may be sending that gratitude or appreciation to may just want 10 minutes of your time or or may just, you know, want you to help them do something practical, like take them to the store. I don't know like acts of service. You really have to understand with each person and this is like where leadership even within family comes in because within family you can be Your leader is understanding who wants to be shown gratitude or appreciation in what particular way because everyone is a little bit different. So that's kind of the advice that I'd give, is to really pay attention to what makes the person really feel special. And usually that's the thing. Like how they speak that language. And it's not always how we would feel special. I don't know if you want to add chairs. Yeah, that is so good. I just love your self awareness there is so true. Because we communicate like my love language is words of affirmation, but a lot of other people's love languages, you know, time or acts of service. So you nailed it there. I love their minds acts of service. Right, cool. I remember that. No, yeah. So like showing Chad's gratitude now that I know that his his words of affirmation, like saying things like, you know, really appreciate you, Chas, or like, hey, you know, great post or whatever, just like words that are affirming probably make him feel a lot more appreciated, and show him that I'm grateful. Then just, you know, for me, it'd be like doing something, you know, like acts of service is, and again, this is like, the same thing with I think that the love languages go a long way in terms of just not romantic, right? It is romantic, but then not romantic in family. And then even in your team's like at work, knowing just how to interact with people and understanding. Not everyone is like you not everyone wants to be shown appreciation, gratitude, time, whatever, in the same way that you do. And I think that sometimes we we just think that everyone is like us. Okay, and if you have any thing to share in the audience, there's a little raise your hand, you could raise your hand, you could add how you practice gratitude, what you're grateful for. Maybe some of the things that you've seen some some of the great leaders that you know, practice gratitude. I'm trying to bring you up again, Henry. There you go. Did that advice help you, Henry? Absolutely. I'm grateful for that advice. But I love that it's funny. I'm kind of trying to figure out if there is an exemption in this gratitude we actually give to people maybe even family, friends, colleagues, or workplaces and or should they be an exemption? And then how to deal with this whole thing? If maybe I'm giving all this gratitude to family? Should there be a limitation to it when it comes to my workers, and especially with families, it's a bit difficult for me right now with the family is a big problem for me. Because I tend to give my girlfriend this attention. She tends to put me on the hold. No, I switch it to my family becomes a bit problematic. And then I had to try moving between girlfriend and family and work. Yeah, yeah. So I'm aging. And I'm trying to go for it and have a woman on my own. But it looks as if she demands more gratitude, more attention, and no, so I'm kind of confused. If there's any tips and advice. I'll be glad. And then. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I, you know, I can only speak through my perspective and chiasm. I'm sure you know, you could add here. But I'd say this, I'd say that someone that gets along with your family. Or let me say it this way, if I feel like if someone really cared about you, and they knew how important your family was to maybe they show you the leeway of spending time with your family, but I don't know how much time you're spending because there is a balance, you know, it could be overdone. And then on that side, they have to understand too, because sometimes when you have a partner, and it's like the first serious relationship and you know your family's not used You're not spending all your time with them. And so I feel like communication is just the best way to do this, like, hey, you know, this person means a lot to me, I want to spend time with you, or I can't spend time 40 hours a week with you anymore. But I know that, you know, Sunday evenings were our favorite time to eat dinner, I'm going to cook dinner, I'm going to bring dinner, whatever, like making sure that you're spending time with them. But it's like more quality time, and you make it special in your present. Because what you don't want to do is spend less time and then the time that you do spend with them, you're on the phone with your girlfriend, and you're not really there. Does that make sense? And then, you know, setting the expectation on the other side to saying, hey, I want this relationship, I love you, or whatever, you're important to me, I don't know what level you aren't with this person. But saying, you know, one of my values is family. And I would love for you to get to know them more, or whatever. But you know, you've got to respect the time that I set aside for family and kind of maybe create a schedule, I have no idea. But that's kind of what I do is, you know, I'd sit down with both sides and set pretty clear boundaries and expectations. Does that help? It's not gonna be easy at first. Considering my cultural background, and all, I think I need to balance it properly, and then try and use the first point to raise, especially with consuming time with the right people, the person that will value my family. Yeah, so that had actually been a problem because I've been able to date two or three ladies, but they weren't able to stay due to misunderstanding coming from all this stuff. And then I felt like, Oh, my gratitude level is too low. Maybe I'm working too much, or I'm overdoing certain things. So I had to consult some colleagues and some counselors to help. But it led to a whole lot. So I guess I will try this and see how best to and I'm grateful for everyone here. I'm thankful to you. Thank you, Henry. Charles, do you want to add that add to that, like? Good, as far as what he's saying. And so I'm just gratitude, and then the relationships because when I think of gratitude, I'm thinking about the focus on the I have, and he's extending it. And I appreciate the fact that he wants, he's concerned and wants to connect with people. And I think you're have sage advice, to work through some difficult conversations. And I can just tell by listening to him, that he has a demeanor that's very caring, and that he wants the best for everyone. And that can be difficult in and of itself. Because we can't please everyone all the time. Nope. Okay. Okay. Okay. That's a great point. So, but I strongly believe that it will take some time also to get certain things understood, probably is because I've not gotten a woman who will actually understand the cultural background, try and value my family and for us to actually move on and build a family on our own. So yeah, and then. And then, you know, for future reference, maybe you just become more cognizant that you you've got to find someone who, who understands that right. Like, maybe they have a big family. Maybe they love to spend time with their family, maybe they're from the same culture or, or have traveled to where you're from and understand the culture because those things, you know, you know, they make it easier. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. But yeah, thank you. So and, you know, thank you for being vulnerable. Right. Thank you. All right. Awesome. Let's show what's up. Today, should they it's been a long time. I saw that you were on one. I think I had listened to one of your other ones that you've had before. So I'm just on here showing support missing those times that we would be together on clubhouse so it's support. How are you been doing? Doing great, doing great. I'm happy you're here to stay on the stage. Tony, what's up, Tony? Tony, are you there? You have to unmute the microphone on the bottom right. There you go. Hello. Thank you for This form should I do this? Is this true? Awesome, I appreciate your Henry's courage for just sharing his struggle with gratitude, because, you know, in his culture, he definitely has some different dynamics that he's dealing with that others of us may not have to deal with soy, and he sounds very young as well. So I, I just encouraged him that, you know, it's a long, it's a journey, and that he should not be so hard on himself, because he's learning and ever growing every day, but he will eventually get there. And I just want to show gratitude to you today for just doing this for and because gratitude it, it goes both ways. So I appreciate you, I am grateful for you for having this form. But I'm, I'm also grateful for those of those who are sharing their their instances of gratitude, because I am very grateful, I have a wonderful family, I have a lot of support in my family. And I have a business but at the same time, but it is sometimes hard to wake up every day when you're in that grind, and stop for a minute and say, I'm grateful for where I am, because I couldn't be somewhere else right now. Yeah, it's, um, that is that is, I mean, I experience it every day, right. And it is your like hyper focus or laser focus, that sometimes, you know, you need to stop, or I need to stop and smell the roses and just be grateful for and I always feel better. I think that that's also like, when you are building a business, people underestimate how much your emotions can play into your performance. Right? When we feel better, we show up better, we we show up happier. And when you're happier, you just tend to get better results, you're more likeable, better, things are more likely to happen. And so I feel like, you know, engineering things into your daily practice that make you feel better are so underestimated. And one of those things for me, I always feel better when I'm more grateful. Yes. And we have a choice, we have a choice, we can wake up in the morning, we could choose to be pleasant, or we can be the other way around. So so we do have choices, but I choose to be grateful. So thank you for the time. I love it. Thank you for coming to the stage. I appreciate you, Francis, what's up Francis? Francis went, went down to the audience. And connect. Yeah, go ahead. Chavez. Good. I just wanted to add something because Tony brought something up that made me think one of the things I started doing is, at the end of the night, I go over everything that I've done during the course of the day. And I'm like, Wow, I did this and this and this, because it's easy as an entrepreneur to think that we haven't done anything today. And we beat ourselves up. And so I focus on this, I write it down in my journal, and it it ends the day on the right note. And I'm just grateful for all the things that I've done. And then it helps me the next day, realize that my whole perspective and mindset has changed as my focus is on having done things as opposed to beating myself up for man and to get enough done today. When you take the time and entrepreneurs do this all the time, when you take the time to focus on all the things that you've done and be grateful for that it will change your perspective. And you'll start to see joy and happiness. come into your life more and more. I just want to encourage everyone to do that. Thanks, Chaz. That was great. Francis. Yeah. Hello, hey, Francis, how are you? What do you have to share? Thank you for allowing me to speak. Yeah. So, we were talking about gratitude. Yeah, I will say that. In one way or the other, I have been good too in the past. So we see it as you have been a weak person, and they want to just use you and dump you Right? Like somebody who you are sharing very important information to that we be beneficial to them, you know, to be in terms of job in terms of kind of daily living or in terms of informations or you're not asking anything in return. And they turn out to be like wow, this guy, you just have to like, like saying that you are not you're not in order to try to be in bad to you. So in that case, what I do is that I have learned to be too easy to ignore Like when I do anything to anyone, I don't expect them to say thank you to me. Because in the in the first place, I'm not doing it to show off, I'm just doing it because I want to do it. So I don't expect somebody to thank you, if you tell me thank you, that's fine. But if they don't tell me, thank you, I just walk away. So like, that's just me, I don't see that as being weak, but I see it as, and those being good to somebody. So I have learned that, and that has really helped me. And I'm just trying to share my views when it comes to bring being having gratitude life showing, kind of thankful, you know, to, to what, as Don't people that were expecting them to say thank you, or maybe somebody has done to you, is you want to tell them, thank you, I just want to say to me, I I don't see it as something that I don't anything good to anybody. I do expect them to tell me thank you the same Thank you. You know, so good. Thank you for appreciating that. Yeah, just move on. So that's, that's, that's powerful. That was a, that's a really good share. Because that brings up the point that you shouldn't do things for other people to feel or express their gratitude, gratitude towards you, you should just do things because you're a good person. And that's just who you are. And if they say thank you, then so be it. And if not, that doesn't necessarily mean that they're not thankful. Sometimes people just are so caught up in what they're going through or growing through that they may forget. And they may just not tell you, thank you now, like, I've had people reach out to me, after watching my content for like a year or two. And then they randomly reach out one day and say, Hey, I just want to let you know, this, this and this. But they didn't say thank you like the first time they saw my content. But I love that point that you brought it up, because a lot of people are like that they'll do something nice. And then they'll get upset because the other person didn't react the way that they wanted to. But you should just do it. Because, you know, that's just who you are. Yeah, because we are we think differently, right? So you don't allow people's behavior or their response. As it doesn't have to do anything with your own mood, or your happiness. When you do something, be rest assured that you have done it and just move on. Right. You know, because if sometimes a lot of things are going on in people's mind, you know, maybe they're just thinking they know that, like you said they might not say thank you. Good thing is that at the end of the day, it does pay well because that same person, we say thank you one day or every good things you do you always receive good back. If that person doesn't do you good, another person would do you good. That's how it works. It's just like the law of karma. What goes around come around, right? Yeah, yeah. 100% I love that. Thank you for you know, for sharing that perspective, because that's a powerful ad. Yeah. Yeah. I'm really excited about where he made mention of about karma and no, so, I want to consider should we really consider someone who really listened to us whenever we are talking and then show some sort of affection to the degree where we say that okay, this person is showing some sort of gratitude. Yes, yes. Like when you are talking to somebody, okay. And somebody who shows our fashion shows that they want to put themselves in your shoes, right? Like, oh, what if I have the same thing? It's same problem you have, I would like you, I would like that kind of person will be able to advise you well, you understand it just like what you don't have, you cannot give if they have gone through what you are going through, they will be able to they will be able to give you more advice. So someone who listens to you, you know, you can you can you can pay attention to them. Because all listen to you very well can they will give you a very good answer to all your questions, but it all depends on them as well because some people they can they are goodly. In the US, but they don't know how to answer your question. They don't know how to give you the right answer, you know, somebody's a good listener and does not mean the person is smart. Right? So you have to test the award. I mean, I mean, taste, they're kind of a thinking mechanism to see that this person that you are telling something that is listening to you, as the capacity to be able to answer your question or to put you in the right direction. So those are the things you need to have, you know, to to see, you have to see it from the conversation from what they're saying, but somebody who gives essential to you, that is a very good way of engaging a conversation within. Okay, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm really grateful for that. Thank you, Mr. Francis. You're welcome. Yeah, great question, Henry. I think that also like what Francis is saying, this is maybe why, you know, you may have to ask a few people, the same question before you really understand an answer. Number one, not everyone's a good listener. Number two, not everyone has the experiences or secondary kind of indirect experiences, to give you an answer. And then not everyone that has an answer knows how to speak your language, and to give you the answer in a way that you'll best understand it and be able to take action on it. So that's why you may have to talk to four or five people. And then maybe four of them, you know, they're like speaking Chinese. Like, you're like, oh, I don't really understand what they just said, you know, and then the fifth person, you're like, Oh, that makes perfect sense. It's just because, you know, not everyone can communicate the same answer, in a way that's best for you. Does that make sense? Sure. Sure, sure. Absolutely. Yeah. You know, when you have someone close to you, that actually speaks the same language to you, you share the same culture, which at times is seems a bit easier. And I feel that exploring more ideas and having very good and constructive way of making things right, is my main objective. So at times, I push myself to the limits. And I realize that there are a whole lot of things that comes with each and every actions you take, especially with the word gratitude. So it was affecting my marriage life, when I was making an attempt. And then I realized that no, I need to balance it well with family. I went through some culture, decision making with some family elders and or, and at some point in time, I was meant to go and discuss few issues with some pastors. So I believe this point you're bringing up, it's actually helping me and I'm grateful for each and everybody on board. Thank you very much. Awesome. Thank you, Henry. Mohammed, did you want to share? Yeah, Shanee thank you so much for making this happen. And anybody can speak on gratitude. So currently, I'm working as digital marketing, and I'm running my agency. So what I believe about gratitude is it's all about respecting others, respecting others privacy, and you have to be like, respect everyone, whatever they're doing, right. So I just want to share something very related to my, my, my story. It's got it is not just about you know, like, it's not just about like expressing it's about being respectful. And it's about like your volunteer, get doing volunteer in your community. Right. So what I believe yesterday, last night, last night, I was just like, going out with my mother. And I asked him Mom, what you want to eat with me. She just asked me I don't want to eat anything with you. But I just want to spend time with you. That made me realize that, that my like mother, father, your family relationship, it's all about you that they had spent a lot of time in your upbringing. They help you in every phase of life. So I am being the context year old guy and entrepreneur and running their own agency. Doing my things in my way. It's very important to show your gratitude to your parents to your brothers, do your surrounding to help everyone and to to say things which which can help others rather than just saying something permatang And rather, and it's more important to understand people, we should understand people to know what they're saying, rather than we are like, replying. It's all about if you're listening to understand that what matters. But if you're listening to reply, that doesn't matter, because we really need to see things in the right direction. You're Shannon. I love it. And did you spend some time with your parents? From last, like 35 to 40 days from last two months, I'm spending time with my mother, my father, and I tried to do whatever they want me to ask. I do what my mother want me to bring the reasons I bring it to her. I took her to walk, I just treated her like my, my best friend, right? To, and I treated my father like my, like, like my god, buddy, friend. So that that's making him happy. Rather than asking them boring questions about life and thing and all that. It's about, like, great to your parents, like your friends, right? Respect them, they, they spend their time valuable time they spent their life on you. So it's the right time, it's the time that God gave you that you should respect them, you should listen to them. Parents are not not every parents want money or monetary values. parents just want your time they want you to you know, they want your gratitude, they want you to listen, they want to, like spend time with you, they want to see mountains with you, they want to see everything with you. It's you and your parents and your surrounding even. I have, like, where I'm living in where I'm living that town. I have a lot of guards in my surroundings. So what what I did a small activity with all the security guards, I asked my mother to make, like 50 cup of tea. Right? So I'm gonna bring those 50 cup of tea to every security guard because worry field, the 50 security guards are protecting us, they are helping us in many ways they are. They are like, you know, facilitating us. So I think rather than just saying hi, good morning. Assalamu Aleikum, whatever we can like help them, we can show them gratitude by making a cup of tea for them by giving something to them that make them a little bit more happy that make them a little bit more warm and cozy. That some one key about them as well, because they're also spending the time with us. And they are living there, they left their family to earn some books. And so being living in that town, it's very important to help people. And gratitude is also about like, if make it from if there's an entrepreneur who's like, starting their business. So we should help them to tell them the right strategy that what should be the right word for what what are the pros and what are the cons? And tell them key what? What would be your strategy for the time, right? So this is what I believe gratitude is all about telling people that what, what kind of difference you can make in that society. Yeah, I love it. And I love the fact that you mentioned how, you know, it's important to spend time with parents. That's something that I've been doing more myself, and you know, it just and the second thing was showing gratitude. I just want to share one thing in this group. You know what, you know what I believe motherhood is a thing in world of women. Like, let me just explain in this way women like a women spent nine months over her baby, for her baby that the baby will be fine, the baby will come when the baby will come out. And during the delivery process, the baby will be fine. So we cannot get even one second. Ask them in comparison to a mother that that she spent nine months for a baby. She spent. She had went through a lot of challenges. We can't like give one or two. Sort of, you know, we can't return anything to our mothers. And that's why I believe in this community. I want respect. I want to like request everyone in this room. Please be respectful to your wife. Please be respectful to your girlfriend's please be respectful to your mother. Please respect women don't create demand as a demand creator like every human being. It's very important. Ya Love it. Thanks, just wanted to pop in and say thanks so much for that. I really appreciate that. And I have just loved everything you've shared because I think as a mother, you know, it's an evolution, the things you choose for your kids. And for you have that gratitude and appreciation. Oh, I'm just I'm so inspired. So, thank you so much for that. Yeah, love 15. I know, Michelle has Michelle has 15 children. It's It's amazing. And Mohammed, just another thing that you mentioned, that is really powerful is showing gratitude to people who sometimes feel invisible. Like, you know, the security guard or, you know, the, the doorman or, you know, the person at the gas station sometimes, like showing gratitude to them, because not everybody shows gratitude to, you know, just like workers like that. And I think that, I think that the simplest things can can really go far. I would say, in this group I want I would urge everyone to start activity from the next day that, let's say good morning, or whatever your religion or whatever drink is Good morning. Hi, hello, assalamu, Alaikum or whatever, just to show them gratitude. And let's bring that smile on someone's face. That is something a very powerful thing to make people smile. That's very important into their life. Yeah. I love it. Thank you, Mohammed. Ricardo, hey, hey. Okay, well, I wanted to share about gratitude with you guys. I'm gonna try to make it worth your time. Two years ago, I had like a really rough spiritual awakening. And well, it went like this, they go, you know, and I was going through what they call the dark night of the soul, which is a very, very tough moment. And I had this angel of a woman who helped me and she told me, she focused and said, Use unconditional love, and radical gratitude. Okay? So I was like, Okay, well, love failed, they know that energy in the spectrum of energies is and I can love and I can work with that. Radical gratitude. Okay, I know what it means to be grateful. And I used in my life before, radical, I mean, she meant about everything bad that was happening to me, I had to learn to be somehow grateful for that. And I really found hard to do it, but I went for it, you know. So I didn't know how to really what was to be grateful for what was really bothering me or going against me, you know, make me suffer. So I kind of went for it. I started. I mean, at first, I acknowledged all the, you know, difficult parts of being grateful for the bad parts of life at that moment, I just let go. And then on every day, I started being grateful, from the beginning of the day, for every single little thing. So this had two kinds of outcomes, you know, one was that you become more aware of every little thing when you're grateful for it, because gratefulness in a way is just another spectrum of love. So you can you feel loved when you're grateful for everything, you know, you wake up and you're grateful, because you have a roof over your head and the basis for the coffee you thought, Wow. I mean, I have coffee. I know. Right? Yeah. And, and so I just kept on doing it, you know, with everything. But then I started practicing with the difficult ones, you know, the ones I wasn't really grateful for, is what the be there. And it worked in a way that I wasn't reactive anymore, you know, so then things got easier. It just works. So yeah, I mean, with this action of being grateful for the things that sometimes were conflicted to me, I would just somehow I don't know the activate them. So then conflict didn't go on. And I felt that improvement in my life, of course, in that sense. So anyway, in grateful every day for everything, just practice it, save yourself. Go to that place, you know, which is lovely. Yeah, I love that share all of you. I love it. Thank you, Ricardo. And that is powerful, right, too. And a lot of times, sometimes we are grateful in retrospect, for the things that you know, the perceived negative things that we've experienced, but I love I love that radical gratitude idea that you shared. Felipe. Personally, how are you? Hi, Michelle, good to see you. You know, I love this topic, I love that, you know, what everyone's sharing is really just been great to hear different perspectives on it just, you know, very inspiring. And, you know, for me, you know, I've been, I'm a Human Resources executive for last 25 years. So the workplace is a really big place for me to help, you know, remind myself and also the, my co workers and the employees, you know, it's so much better to be grateful for what we have then complained about what we don't have, you know, because a lot of employees will leave the job and go somewhere else, and then they want to come back because it was better here than it was there. But that doesn't always happen. But in some cases, the grass isn't always greener. But, you know, I really resonate with what Muhammad was sharing, and regardless sharing. For me, I know that a few years ago, I started, I heard it on the radio, I don't know who did this, probably a celebrity, but they were sharing about how they wake up every morning and think about at least three to five things that they're grateful for every morning. And, and I was going through some challenging times. And I was like, you know, I'm gonna try to do that I want to be more positive. So I started doing it. And I started realizing all the days I didn't do it, or I waited a couple days without doing it, it did impact me. And that's why I think gratitude really, for me, at least comes down to being having that mindset of choosing to be grateful or choosing to see the things that you should be grateful for. And it was like the parents, you mentioned the parents, my mother moved in with me, and my wife and my kids, and she's 90 years old, and she is still sharp as a whip independent. I mean, still does everything for herself. Absolutely amazing. She has her iPad or Apple Watch her her her laptop, she was reading her life story. I'm like, I hope I'm half as as clear headed as you are at age 70. Good Lord, if I make it somebody, hopefully, you know. And so it's one of the things we're sometimes in the beginning, I'll be honest, she was treating me like I was still five years old. And he was like, Oh, don't fertilize the door, don't get to take out the trash. Like, Mom, this has been my house for like, 25 years, I've been doing it for 25 years, I'll remember don't worry. And after, like the 25th time, I know, it's really bothering me. And at one point, like, you know what, the more that I was practicing, thinking about what I was grateful for, the more I realized these petty things that bother me really don't matter. The fact that the coffee machine doesn't have water, oh, big deal, I gotta fill it up. Or the fact that maybe the power went out, you know, and, and something's wrong, or whatever it is, we complain about such petty things sometimes. And when we we focus on what we're grateful for, at least for me, the petty things seem to go up to go away, and it seemed the workplace. If you show the gratitude, like Mohammed was saying earlier, you know, and, and show the respect you have is like, I think of it as intentional gratitude, you know, and really, I don't think we all realize the impact it can have on someone today. And they may not show it to us, we may never know. But I've had people and I've heard people and I know it's been I've said to other people is, thank you for what you said five years ago, it really stuck with me. And it helped me get through that time. And like, and for me, like, wow, I didn't really think that was anything that really was helpful. But to them it was you know, and I know people didn't talk to me that way, as well. So yeah, I'm very passionate on this topic. Obviously, I'll stop talking now. But Sinead, thank you for having this room. It really is a great topic. Thank you for for sharing. I love what you shared about your mom. And, you know, just, I think that even being grateful for like, what Ricardo was saying, if you just noticed that you're just getting into like a negative vibe lately, or whatever, just coming to that realization, like, I don't want to be like this. I want to be more positive. And then doing things like Felipe was saying, saying, where, oh, just focusing on three to four things in the morning that you're grateful for. And making it almost a skill. So one of the things that helped me is every single time you go to complain about something, attach positive to that thing, at least double so if you're in traffic, and you're like, oh my gosh, I can't stand traffic, I'm gonna be late. This is terrible. You know, we overdramatize everything, then attach a positive to that traffic like, hey, now I get 40 extra minutes where I could listen to my favorite podcast or I get 45 minutes to call my mom, and you know, have a good conversation with my parents. If you just do that throughout the day, we probably think of, I don't know how many times like 100 complaints about petty petty things throughout the day. But if you just try to attach two positives to each complaint, then It becomes a way of life, it becomes a skill that you just keep getting better at. So that's what helped me is kind of engineering it where it's like, okay, the negative is predictable. So how can I turn this into a skill by leveraging what's inevitably going to happen, which is thinking of complaints, because that's what our brains are wired for that. And I love that you said that. Because I think a lot of times, people think that it's easy to have gratitude, but it's something that you really have to be intentional and work at, you know, that's part of my journey was set, I was in this cycle for 13 years, the depression and, you know, we really have to do the work. And a lot of times, we just see highlight reels from other people. And we think that it's so easy, but it's like you said, the negative stuff happens all the time. You know, but how you choose to respond is the key. So having that intention ahead of time is so important. I love good thing I have to get out of here. Shinae. I really appreciate you. Go ahead. Yes. Please follow Sinead. She's awesome. I have she, I am grateful for you. Grateful for you to Chez Anita, you're the last person but I want to say thank you. I'm very grateful right now. Mainly that you guys are talking about the gratefulness especially with all the things that are happening in healthcare. And this is a well needed conversation, especially since I had to go and work tomorrow. And working in the hospital. And it does remind me to continue to think of the positive thing that God has performed, wherever you believe in, is doing in all our lives, whether it's in marketing, or education, or whatever fill you in, that we need to sometimes have these conversations, just to remind us that we got to keep being positive and grateful. Yeah, thank you. You're welcome. And I think these conversations are important because it shows that we're not alone. Because sometimes, again, our brains can like make things so dramatic. Like we're the only ones that think that gratitude is hard, or we're the only ones that feel this way. And we're not. And I think that people just need to be like these conversations allow people to see oh, okay, well, I'm not the only one that that finds a gratitude journal in the morning hard. I'm not the only one that thinks negative things. And, you know, if people can just gain one little tip, whether it's spend more time with parents or, you know, whatever from this conversation, it's worth it. And I think that that that's why I host these conversations. But I appreciate everyone for for coming and for being here. And I'll be hosting these audios more throughout the week and throughout the coming months because like I said, I think that these are important. So just kind of stay tuned. And, you know, feel free to come on stage people get vulnerable. And thank you for being here. I appreciate you. I know that you could be anywhere else. So I'll see you next time everyone. God bless you
