I routinely do polls on LinkedIn related to growth and it's always inevitable... someone in the comments is always rushing to be the first to say that "followers don't matter."
Followers don't matter only in two scenarios:
Why don't followers matter to most rich people? They already have a network. They also - very commonly - have the skills to leverage other people's money and other people's networks.
Meaning, that when they did need to spread awareness for something, they would tap into one of their friends' social influence.
But what if you aren't rich YET? Growing your visibility and an online community is one of the fastest and long-term ways of changing your life. And in this episode, I talk about it.
